BioStat Research Collective

The BioStat Research Collective (BRC) is an academic research community dedicated to advancing the field of biostatistics through innovative methodology, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real-world application. Bringing together undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, the Collective conducts research in clinical trials, medical data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning in healthcare, and uncertainty quantification.

BRC promotes a collaborative scientific culture with emphasis on publication, open science, rigorous statistical thinking, and the development of modern tools for precision medicine, public health analytics, and biomedical research.

Mission
To advance the science of biostatistics through innovative methodological research, collaborative learning, and the application of rigorous statistical approaches to real-world problems in medicine, public health, and clinical science. The Collective aims to cultivate an interdisciplinary environment where students at all academic levels work together to create impactful scientific contributions.

Vision
To become a leading academic hub that shapes the next generation of biostatisticians, driving forward new statistical methodologies, data-driven healthcare insights, and open scientific collaboration at national and international level.

Core Values

  • Collaboration: Knowledge grows when it is shared.

  • Scientific Integrity: All research follows high standards of accuracy, transparency, and ethical responsibility.

  • Innovation: We encourage creative and new statistical ideas, models, and methodologies.

  • Interdisciplinarity: We bridge statistics with medicine, biology, epidemiology, data science, and computational modeling.

  • Student Empowerment: Bachelor, Master, and PhD members are supported to publish, present, lead, and grow.

  • Open Science: We encourage reproducible research, sharing of data, and modern statistical computing practices.
